Our time to smile!


Cora's smile tells it all!  A really good day at Mayo this afternoon.  Some of our good friends were finishing up their treatments this week.  
One by one they came and said, "Thank you for being here with us". Just hearing them say those words puts a smile on our faces today!

New Horizons!

Cora and I spent our last day volunteering at Mayo in June.  We will miss our friends, but our journey will continue bringing smiles and comfort in Florida.  I've been searching for our "niche" here and we will soon be back working as a therapy dog team.  During the move I completed my Evaluator status with Pet Partners and am now studying for my Instructor license.  Hope to have all that done in about 6 weeks.  That way I can teach people how they can join this special force of animal healers!  More to come soon!

Remember

Cora and I visited Mayo a day early yesterday but it didn't stop us from remembering that tragic day of 9/11.  Here she "salutes" all our fallen heroes.  Many of our visitors are ex military veterans and returned Cora's salute with a smile on their faces.
